Action figures are the boys version of dolls. Often inspired by comic books like GI Joe or Flash Gordon or by TV shows like Star Trek or Transformers or by movies like Star Wars and Planet of the Apes, they have enter the imagination of millions of kids. Hasbro is the first toy manufacturer to launch a line of those type of new toys back in 1964 the mythical 12" GI Joe. The success was instantaneous. Today's collectors are looking for the toys they have played with or desired when they were young. Obviously rarity (including special edition and exclusivity), desirability and condition will ultimately determine the final price for those toys.
